Young Explorers

At Little Acorns Playgroup children can be children...running, jumping, imagining, playing, building, climbing, and discovering are at the core of program. Children can sing and laugh loudly in the forest or whisper quietly to a worm. Mud puddles are for splashing in and walks in the woods instill quiet reflection or inspire building bug and fairy homes, being a dinosaur or making a playhouse.

Little Acorns Playgroup offers a connection to the natural world, sensory experiences and an ever changing natural "playground". Kindness, compassion, and caring for the Earth and all of its creatures are simply part of our day. Learning, playing, growing, and connecting are intertwined, naturally.

Fostering Development

Little Acorns connects children's love of discovery, need to be physical, desire for sensory play ,and curiosity to learn what the world is all about. Our outdoor classroom offers places to climb, build, play, create, learn or just be. Children play freely, fostering independence, imagination, and social-emotional development.

*All activities are optional. Children may choose to simply play. Parents are welcome to offer their child snacks as needed.

Little Acorns Schedule

Little Acorns meets weekly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:30am-12pm. Members may register for one or both days. The fall program runs from September - December.
