Welcome to Starling Playschool

Starling Playschool is a homeschool enrichment program for children ages 4-7 and  is designed to be a place where children can explore nature through all seasons, in all types of weather.  We aim to develop stewards of the earth.  Imagination is highly regarded!  Children have the freedom to create whatever world they desire!  

Our approach to learning cultivates well rounded individuals who are kind, confident, socially adept, and deeply attuned to the beauty of their environment.

Children explore thoughtfully prepared play spaces at their own pace, following their personal interests.  Both our indoor and outdoor surroundings are highly prepared to reflect a sensory rich environment that fosters imagination, creativity, independance, and a sense of well being.   Our time together follows a predictable rhythm offering further security.  In this way we are able to honor the whole child and allow for freedom of expression and development.

Open ended, imaginative, sensory play is the heart of Starling Playschool.   Through collaborative play and shared experiences children learn the importance of empathy, communication, and collaboration.  

Starling Playschool is deeply rooted in the belief that nature plays a vital role in the life of a child. Engaging with the natural world sparks curiosity, encourages exploration, and enhances cognitive growth.  Our forest, creek, meadow, and trails provide the backbone of our outdoor "classroom".

In our enchanting setting, children are free to express themselves, develop social skills, and form a deep connection  to the world around them.   By emphasizing holistic development and learning in a nurturing environment we are able to honor the whole child.  

Starling Playschool meets Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10am-3pm starting in September, 2025. 

This is a drop off program for children ages 4 -7 years.
