NOW ENROLLING FOR SPRING
Meadowlark Collective is a unique and immersive program focused on cross curricular learning blocks taught exclusively through hands-on experiences. A curated selection of beautiful literature pieces will elevate and enhance the learning experience, broadening students' perspectives and sparking their literary imaginations. Throughout the year, experts will be invited to join us for special hands-on presentations, enriching the learning experience and providing valuable insights. In addition to lively learning blocks, children will have the opportunity to engage in creative dramatics, forest adventures, wild crafting, and more.
The learning topics for this program have been carefully selected to offer children a rich and diverse educational experience. Members will delve into the captivating world of 18th century living, exploring the daily lives, customs, and societal structures of this dynamic historical period. The program also features an in-depth study of medieval architecture, allowing students to marvel at the ingenious design and construction of iconic cathedrals, castles, and other landmark buildings from the Middle Ages.
Additionally, the curriculum spotlights famous artists and composers, giving students the opportunity to examine the creative processes and enduring legacies of these celebrated figures. The Creative Dramatics component of Meadowlark Collective encourages students to bring their learning to life through various stage performances throughout the year, fostering their talents in the dramatic arts.
Occasionally we will embark on field trips during Meadowlark Collective. Trips are designed to spark students' natural curiosity, inspiring them to ask questions, make observations, and engage more deeply with the subject matter. Field trips serve as catalysts for further exploration, research, and discovery, solidifying the learning in memorable and impactful ways.
Festivals from around the world will also be explored, enabling students to gain a deeper appreciation for the vibrant cultural traditions and celebrations that unite communities globally.
Meadowlark Collective also includes Earth Scouts. Earth Scouts is designed to cultivate a generation of young environmental ambassadors who are passionate about the planet. Sustainable agriculture, natural land preservation, ornithology, and a watershed unit are just a sampling of the learning blocks the Earth Scouts will explore. As environmental blocks are completed, each child will be presented with a badge in an Award Ceremony.
Meadowlark Collective meets on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10am-3pm, September-June. The fee for this year long commitment is $300 per month, with a 5% sibling discount.
